It's Showtime: Apple invites you to the special event on March 25th
As is well known, Apple always holds a Apple Special Event in spring, in which new iPads are presented. It's that time again this year, because a few minutes ago Apple announced the date for the first event of this year. On 25. March 2019 the Apple Special Event will take place in the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino . What products do you expect and end of March?
Spring time = iPad time
Last year Apple presented the relatively inexpensive 9.7 "iPad as part of an educational event, which is particularly suitable for schoolchildren / students. The iPad was very popular because the price / Performance ratio on the iPads from last spring is extremely good .
This year we can expect an updated iPad version. However, it is still questionable whether Apple will also use USB-C for entry-level devices, or whether they will continue to use a Lightning connector.
Time for a new iMac / Mac Pro
As part of the Apple Special Event , a new iMac and / or a new Mac Pro could also be presented. The Mac Pro in particular has not really received a lot of attention in recent years. However, when Apple updated the Mac mini last year, one thing became clear: Apple is not completely indifferent to the Mac models. So there is a lot to be said for new iMac / Mac Pro models that have the latest hardware installed.
This new iMac / Mac Pro generation will presumably be aimed at the " Pro " users and not really aimed at end consumers.
AirPods Gen. 2
The AirPods are now widespread and as Bluetooth in-ear headphones are absolutely among the best of their kind high recognition value. As part of the event at the end of March, it is likely that the 2nd generation of the popular in-ear headphones will be presented.
Possible features that can be expected include " Hey Siri" support, built-in sensors for swiping gestures to change the volume, for example, or a new charging case that is wireless Loading supported.
In the course of the presentation of the second generation of the AirPods it is also very likely that Apple will finally also AirPower (the inductive charging mat from Apple, which all QI-enabled devices such as the iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods can charge wirelessly at the same time).
